When it comes to scams of all kinds, there’s one that truly hits us right in the heart – food scams.
A few months ago, a Malaysian shared his disappointment with an old town’s service where they served kaya butter toast that came with 2 butter strips and almost no kaya and cost RM6.
Recently, a similar incident happened to a Malaysian once again.
He was excited to try the viral Kaya Steamed Bun also known as Roti Wap but eventually get disappointed when he was scammed by the vendor who gave him buns with empty filling but with just a little spread on top.
“Lesson learned”
Through his TikTok account @boyngah, he showed the kaya steamed bun that he just bought is empty inside without no filling but with a little spread on top.
From the outer packaging, we can see that the buns were filled with flowing kaya filling, but after he opened them, it was just a mild layer spread of kaya.
What is more absurd is that when he revealed the five slices of steamed bun without filling costed RM11.
This video has now garnered more than 928.5k views with thousands of comments coming in.
