Many young people often have a fondness for luxury items, though they may not be able to afford them unless they come from a well-off family. However, even for those who do, is it conceivable to wear an outfit that costs over RM900K in total?
That was what one student claimed in a now-viral street interview, where he flaunted his outfit and accessories which allegedly cost close to RM900,000.
M’sian student shows off RM900k worth of clothes & accessories
In a street interview conducted by local content creator Sam Wong (@samwongsx), it showed him approaching two young men at a mall in KL and asked one of them about the price of his outfit.

The young man, who was a 22-year-old student, then went on to reveal the estimated prices of his clothes and accessories, which came to a staggering RM898,200.
Here’s the full breakdown:
– Bulgari necklace: RM13,000
– Dior T-shirt: RM5,000
– Bell & Ross watch: RM16,000
– Cartier ring: RM6,000
– Hermès bracelet: RM250,000
– Hermès bag: RM600,000
– ZARA pants: RM200
– Hermès sandals: RM8,000

As expected, Sam was visibly surprised and astonished by the figure, noting that this was the most expensive outfit he had ever encountered in a street interview.
Curious as to how a student could afford such luxury items, Sam asked for more details, to which the student said he worked as a sales clerk and runs his own business while still studying in college.

Netizens doubtful of outfit’s value
Despite the whopping numbers that the student rattled out during the street interview, many netizens didn’t seem convinced and threw shade at the student’s claims.
‘Will those who sell branded bags please come out? A bag that costs only RM200 suddenly became RM600,000.’

‘He’s wearing all kinds of fake goods on his body. If it were me, I’d rather wear something that is brandless.’

Some also attacked the student’s claim of being a businessperson, with one saying that he was able to afford the branded goods by running an OnlyFans account.
