One worker shared his friend’s experience on social media, detailing how a sudden work request ruined his friend’s vacation plans.
A month ago, he had everything set for his well-deserved vacation. The leave had been approved without any issues, and he had everything organised from flights to accommodations.
Then, just when he thought his work was finally behind him, his boss called.

The worst part? He was asked to cancel all his travel plans immediately.
Naturally, he was frustrated. He tried explaining that everything had already been arranged, but his boss wasn’t hearing it.
“Instead, he was told: “Is work more important than your vacation? If you’re not coming back, don’t bother returning at all.”
After he was back from holiday, the employee received a termination letter from HR, with the reason being “disobeying your superior during work hours”.
