A bakery in Kuala Lumpur is facing criticism from a dissatisfied customer on Twitter over the delivery fee quoted for their cookies to be sent to Shah Alam area.
The customer, who resides in Shah Alam, wanted to order cookies from the bakery at a price of RM45 but was surprised to learn that the delivery charge would be an additional RM70.
Is RM70 justifiable?
Taking to Twitter to voice her frustration, the customer said the delivery charge was really disappointing.
Upon conducting her own research, the customer found that the same delivery could be done by Grab Express for only RM29.
In response, the seller replied that the customer could use her own runner instead or do her own pickup at Jalan Ampang.
However, the bakery did not specify or explain the delivery service used to justify the cost.

In disappointment, the customer chose not to buy from the seller anymore.
She also shared with WeirdKaya that this was not her first time purchasing from the bakery, having bought from them a few years ago.
Back then, she found the delivery charges reasonable and was satisfied with her purchase. However, this recent experience has left her disappointed and she does not plan to buy from the bakery again.
“I always order food outside from my area. Which is from Ampang, melawati and etc. But this is quite a surprise to see a RM70 delivery charges,” she told WeirdKaya.
