When one’s out for a teambuilding activity or vacation, the last thing he/she would bring with them would be work as it would spoil the holiday mood. But for some, work simply needs to get done, holiday or not.
A reader recently reached out to WeirdKaya to share an amusing clip of his colleague bringing his laptop with him and working away while the others were having a good time at the theme park.
M’sian seen hard at work while having fun at popular theme park
According to the clip provided by the reader, it showed a young man clad in a brown t-shirt looking at his laptop with a deadpan expression while taking a ride on the Cove Aerobar at a theme park located in Dengkil.
Even as the man’s colleagues were swinging their legs midair and admiring the view from 35 metres off the ground, it didn’t seem to interest him as he continued to work away on his laptop.
This amused both his colleagues and a theme park staff, who asked the man whether he really brought his work with him, to which the latter responded by nodding his head.
In a separate clip provided by the same reader, it showed the young man still glued to his laptop while his colleagues were having fun at another section of the theme park. Kesian.
Had to respond to a client
WeirdKaya managed to contact the man featured in the clip, who shed further light on why he was so hard at work amid a teambuilding session.
Speaking to WeirdKaya, the man named Jann said he brought his laptop with him as he needed to revise a draft for a client, adding that this was his first time doing so.
When asked whether he managed to complete his task on time, Jann said he was able to do so.
“Surprisingly, I managed to finish the task but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who has a fear of heights,” he added.
