According to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), all concertgoers will undergo comprehensive body and bag checks at both the outer and inner entrances of the stadium.

In a media statement, Cheras police chief Assistant Commissioner Zam Halim Jamaluddin said the police has meticulously prepared, involving various departments and units to ensure safety and public tranquility.

He also mentioned that to prioritize the safety of everyone, stringent security measures will be implemented. 

“Body searches, bag checks, and item inspections will be conducted at each entrance and within the stadium premises. It is crucial for concertgoers to cooperate with security personnel to expedite the entry process and contribute to a secure environment.” Zam Halim said.

The items on the list are prohibited

Furthermore, to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, certain items are strictly prohibited within the stadium.

The prohibited items include firecrackers, helmets, lasers, sharp objects, weapons, alcoholic drinks, walking sticks, power banks, bottled water, lighters, cigarettes, drones, and megaphones.

Zam Halim emphasizes that confiscated items during the security check will not be the responsibility of the police.

Traffic advisory

For everyone’s convenience, it is recommended to utilize public transportation when heading to the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

Those not attending the concert are advised to avoid roads surrounding the stadium to prevent traffic congestion.

Parking on the roadside around the stadium entrance and exit lanes is strictly prohibited, and legal action will be taken against vehicles causing obstruction.

Cooperation with the police, adherence to their instructions, and practicing patience and courtesy while driving are essential for smooth traffic flow.

Police urge everyone to keep decorum at concert

As fans unite to celebrate the music of Coldplay, a reminder is issued to uphold decorum and avoid disturbances during and after the concert.

“The police will take decisive action against any violations of the law to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees,” he said in the statement.
