The fear of losing a child is a nightmare for all parents, and this Malaysian couple has vividly shared their anxious experience.
Recently, a Malaysian parent found themselves in a distressing situation when they realised they had forgotten and left their son behind at an R&R stop in Johor.

Reminder to all parents
Taking to her TikTok account, @shahilashah, she shared a glimpse of the anxious moment they experienced upon realising they had left their son behind.
In the 30-second video, the mother can be seen answering a phone call inside the car. Her expression quickly turns to shock as the caller informs her that she had left her son at the R&R.

Without wasting a second, they immediately rushed back to the Pagoh R&R to get back their son.

One of the curious netizens asked why the person sitting in the back of the car didn’t notice the absence of her son. She replied, explaining that the person was already fast asleep.

Kindhearted humans
Upon arriving at the gas station of the R&R, the couple is met with an overwhelming sense of relief and gratitude.
In another follow up video, her son was seen sitting along with the Bangladeshi workers at the petrol station.

Expressing her gratitude through a heartfelt post, the mother extended her thanks to the foreign workers who generously lent their phone for her to make a call.
What truly warms the heart is their gesture of buying bread and water for the child while they awaited the arrival of his parents.
“Thank you, Ismail, and the other two friends from Petron Pagoh R&R. Your kindness will be remembered forever. There are always noble-hearted foreigners.” she expressed.
In the comment section, some netizens also shared their experience facing the same situation.
“My youngest sibling and I were once left behind at a rest stop without a phone. At that time, I only remembered my third sibling’s phone number. I borrowed someone’s phone and called my sibling.”

Some netizens even offered a piece of advice to the parents.
“Before leaving the place, make sure to check on the kids first. Phew… luckily nothing happened, he is safe.”

Taking this incident as a lesson, parents should always double-check to make sure their kids are with them before going anywhere, preventing any scary situations like this from happening again.
