As the 2022 Asian Games transition to the Asian Para Games events, our para-athletes are setting off to Hangzhou, China for the events that will be held from 22 October to 28 October.
Upon setting off, the national Visually Impaired Football Squad’s para-athletes chanted the patriotic Song “Inilah Barisan Kita” at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and stirred the excitement of the public.

The video was shared by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh on Facebook today (19 Oct).
The contingent was seen singing aloud while waving to the supporters who sent them off at the airport before entering the boarding gate.
The minister was also moved by the spirit displayed by the squad and expressed her thoughts in the post.
“This scene in KLIA moved my heart. Para athletes (national blind football team) break into spontaneous patriotic song as they lead each other departing from KLIA to Hangzhou Para Asian Games,” she wrote in the caption.
Her post was showered with words of encouragement by people who were also excited for the Malaysian Team.
Most of them wished the team all the best in gaining victories.

Some netizens thanked YB Hannah Yeoh for her efforts in carrying out her duty as a Minister of Youth and Sports by sending off the Malaysian contingent.
