The world of social media has opened up new opportunities for many, but it has also blurred the lines between empowerment and exploitation.
Recently, one disabled woman in her 20s known as Manisah Manja has found herself in hot water—boiling hot, in fact.
M’sian OKU woman allegedly sells explicit content for as low as RM50
Manisah, who is both deaf and mute, allegedly uses her TikTok account to attract sympathy from viewers.

During her live broadcasts, she reportedly encourages viewers to send gifts by displaying her body. She then directs them to a secret Telegram channel where she offers explicit content for a fee, reportedly as low as RM50.
According to @BMVFM, the situation came to light when a family member, who had subscribed to her Telegram channel without knowing its nature, discovered what Manisah was doing.
Disturbed by the revelation, the family member took to social media, pleading with Manisah to cease her activities.
“Bismillah, I don’t want to be complicit. Manisah Manja, please stop doing this,” the family member urged.
Following the exposure, she has faced intense criticism during her live TikTok sessions, with viewers condemning her for what they see as exploiting her disability for financial gain.
However, there are also those who sympathise with her, pointing out the difficult circumstances she might be facing as a disabled individual trying to make a living.
