Winning the lottery is often described as a near impossible feat and requires much luck to strike the grand prize.
A Malaysian man recently became a millionaire overnight after he was blessed by Lady Luck and won a whopping RM28.9mil Magnum jackpot on Father’s Day.
Greeted by Magnum staff familiar to him
According to a PR release provided to WeirdKaya, the winner, who hailed from Raub, Pahang, said that he brought his daughter to buy new shoes and there was a Magnum 4D outlet located right next to it.
In the midst of doing so, he was greeted by several Magnum staff who were no strangers to him.
“It was towards the evening already and I was rushing to get the shoes for my daughter. I stopped when the Magnum 4D frontliners waved to me.”
“I am a familiar face to them, so it was nice that they took the effort to acknowledge me. One of the frontliners also encouraged me to purchase the Magnum 4D Jackpot Lucky Pick ticket displayed on the window,” he said.
Though the man had his own set of preferred numbers when buying lottery tickets, he decided to give the System Bet-3 lucky pick ticket a shot as he was feeling jovial from Father’s Day celebrations.

To his amazement, his ‘gamble’ paid off handsomely as it netted him RM28.9mil in winnings, turning him into a millionaire instantly.
The man added that he often bought lottery tickets from particular Magnum staff and has won small amounts of cash in the past.
I have won a small amount before when buying my numbers from the same frontliner. It’s incredible how certain people or places can bring us good fortune and luck,” he said.
The man added that he initially didn’t believe that he was the winner when news began spreading like wildfire and created much excitement online.
“We were discussing the lucky pick ticket I purchased from the Magnum 4D outlet the previous day, and my wife had a hunch that it could be my lucky pick numbers. She decided to cross-check the numbers on the Magnum 4D website, and true enough, I was the lucky winner!
“Turns out that my lucky pick numbers of 6736 (Second prize) and 0651 (Third prize) were the winning jackpot numbers,” he revealed.

Still doubtful over his massive win, the man decided to check it out for himself the Magnum 4D outlet where he bought the lottery ticket and finally confirmed that he was indeed the winner.
He expressed gratefulness towards the staff who took the first step in approaching and convincing him to buy the lucky pick ticket.
“It was the frontliner’s effort that caught my attention and made me decide to buy the tickets in the first place,” he said.
