For most bosses, the usual gesture of appreciation they would show for their employees is to hold annual dinners that are fully paid by the company, not cars that costs thousands of Ringgit.
For this one boss, he recently shocked everyone in an extremely generous show of appreciation by gifting his employees with brand new cars that amounted to RM3.1 million.
M’sian man thanks 31 workers for their dedication by gifting cars
Speaking to China Press, the boss in question, Warakuya Japanese Restaurant and Superstar Family KTV founder John Wong, said it was a practice of his to reward his employees every year to thank them for their hard work and dedication.
This year, a total of 31 employees were gifted cars of various brands such as BMW, Audi, Toyota, Honda, and Proton during the gifting ceremony.
Out of the group, four employees, who were a C-level executive and branch managers, were specially gifted with a BMW 6 Series, which totalled RM1.8 million.
When asked why he chose the four of them, Wong said he wanted to thank them for being with the company for a long time and working alongside him in building up the company.
As for the remaining employees, which also included those from Myanmar and Nepal, Wong said they would be given driving licenses at no extra costs aside from the brand new car.
One of the employees, who travelled from KL to Johor Bahru to attend the ceremony, later told China Press that it was his second time receiving a BMW from the company after getting the first one seven years ago.
He added that he saw the car was also a sign of affirmation and appreciation from the company and Wong himself.
Such lucky employees! Now we can’t help but to hope that our boss will give us one too! (jkjk)
