A man in Sarawak who was reported missing after attending a wedding was eventually found safe, but in a rather unexpected place.
He had apparently fallen asleep beside a washing machine at his neighbour’s house.

Went missing after attending wedding
Reported by Buletin TV3, this incident took place in Kampung Sira, Padawan, after the man attended a wedding ceremony at a church in the village the night before.
According to a spokesperson from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department’s Operations Centre, the department received a call regarding the incident at 4.39am.
A team from the Siburan Fire and Rescue Station was then dispatched to the location.
Two firefighters, along with a Toyota Hilux pickup, arrived at the scene at 5.14am to carry out the search operation.
Left to use the toilet but did not return
Initial investigations found that the man, who is also the brother in law of the complainant, had attended the wedding ceremony before he was later reported missing.
After eating and drinking at the event, he reportedly left to urinate.
However, he could not be found afterwards, causing concern among his family members.
Firefighters then gathered information on his disappearance and prepared to launch a search operation together with the police, family members and villagers.
Found sleeping beside washing machine

Before the search could fully begin, the man was found by villagers at around 6am.
He was discovered safe and sound, sleeping beside a washing machine at his neighbour’s house.
Following checks, the man was confirmed to have no injuries.
The operation was then called off at 6.09am.
