As an Asian, it’s pretty typical for us to ask for a free gift or discount after making a big purchase. Though this bargaining move doesn’t always pay off as expected, sometimes it may.
A Malaysian man, @fandyhamz, recently uploaded an adorable video of him getting a free dance show after purchasing items at a hardware store that cost him over RM500.
The video has garnered over 500k views at press time.

In the video, Fandy displays his receipt after purchasing paint items totaling RM520.50. With a grin, he points the camera toward a sign near the cashier announcing a free dance show for purchases over RM500.
Intrigued, Fandy approaches an employee to claim his prize.

Soon, three employees are seen dancing near the counter, their steps synchronized to a lively Chinese song ChouXingChi playing in the background.

We had a chat with Fandy
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Fandy explained that the incident took place on Monday (8 April) at Kow Hock Building Material, Johor Bahru.

At first, I simply ignored the sign and loaded the items into the back of my car. However, out of curiosity, I returned to claim the free dance show. They also played a song and began dancing.
Netizens loved the dance
The video has quickly garnered over 19.5k likes at the time of writing, with many applauding the shop for its creative marketing skills.

‘Nice marketing,” one wrote.

‘Thank you brother for recording, we also got to watch the free dance show’
