Yesterday (June 18), tragedy struck on the North-South Expressway as a Malaysian trader lost his life in a fatal collision involving a cow.
The incident happened at Kilometer 24.9, and the victim tragically passed away at the scene due to his injuries.
According to Berita Harian, the 30-year-old driver was in the rightmost lane when his vehicle collided with a stray cow, causing the car to veer off and crash into the central divider of the highway.

Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh, Chief of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, confirmed the details.
“The car driver, a 30-year-old man, sustained severe injuries and died at the scene,” he said in a statement.
He also highlighted that investigations are being conducted under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
This tragic event is the second incident involving cows in Malaysia within just two days.
Not long ago, two cows escaped and were involved in another accident on the Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP) near Paradigm Mall, though fortunately, no injuries were reported in that incident.
