A touching TikTok video of a young boy reuniting with a beloved mamak stall worker has warmed the hearts of many netizens.
Uploaded by user “moonlightflower7_” the video showcases the joy and excitement of a boy named Luth when he meets his old friend, affectionately known as “Mamak Uncle.”
The video, which has garnered almost 60,000 likes at the time of reporting, shows Luth appearing shy yet visibly happy upon seeing the “Mamak Uncle” again.
Known the uncle for four years
The TikTok user shared that Luth has known the “Mamak Uncle” for nearly four years. Since the worker was transferred to another branch, Luth frequently asked about his whereabouts.
To surprise Luth, his family decided to take him to the new location where the “Mamak Uncle” now works.
Upon seeing “Uncle Mamak” again, Luth seems a bit surprised and shy at first, but this is quickly replaced by a big, warm smile on his face.
The mamak worker also seemed delighted and greeted Luth with a head-to-head gesture, a sign of their close bond.
Help him with his lego set
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Luth’s mother shared that Luth has known and been close to “Uncle Mamak” since he is 1 years old.
“Uncle Mamak” got to know Luth as they were regulars at the mamak. The friendly uncle gradually became familiar with Luth and always played with him.
One time, “Uncle Mamak” helped Luth assemble his airplane Lego set, and Luth begin to request to go to the specific mamak every time since then.
Previously, “Uncle Mamak” worked at the mamak in Bandar Saujana Putra but was later assigned to handle the new branch in Tropicana Aman, Rimbayu, not too far away.
“He is usually very shy and only plays with people he is comfortable and familiar with. We always teach him to be nice to everyone regardless of who they are,” Luth’s mother add
