As durian season returns, people are indulging in the beloved fruit. One Malaysian, however, added a creative twist—not with the fruit itself, but with a durian-flavored snack.
Shared on TikTok, user @mangoseenkedah posted a video of himself opening a packet of durian-flavored corn chips with the precision of a professional durian vendor.
Durian inspection
The video starts with him wearing a safety glove on one hand and holding a knife in the other, mimicking a hawker inspecting a durian as he tosses the snack packet around.
He begins by tapping the packet, listening for the sound to “confirm” the durian is ripe and ready.
He then proceeds to open the “shell,” allowing everyone to check if the “fruit” inside is plump and free from worms.
“Let’s check the fruit inside,” he says, as he splits open the package to reveal the snack inside.
Finally, he arranges the snack into a container, just like a pack of durian, complete with labeling the durian species, ready to be taken home.
