Malaysian influencer and content creator Jenn Chia, known online as SoImJenn, has shared a remarkable story of serendipity that has captured the imagination of her followers.
Now-husband appeared in her picture
On her TikTok account, @soimjenn.official, Jenn uploaded a video that showcased a mind-boggling coincidence involving a photograph from October 2012.
The video features a snapshot of Chia dining in a restaurant, with a significant detail: her future husband, Jon Liddel, unbeknownst to her at the time, is seen in the background.
This discovery is made all the more remarkable by the fact that the couple did not meet until two years later, in 2014, and only recently got married in 2023.
The invisible string theory
I’m still shaking looking at this. We were at the same place but didn’t know each other existed, she wrote in the caption.
This incredible story was further shared on Chia’s Instagram page, @soimjenn, where she mused philosophically about the timing of their meeting, suggesting that people encounter the right person at just the right time in their lives.
If it was before, I don’t think the relationship would have lasted. I was a narcissistic monster, unaware and naive.
Took me a year of travelling and being single to reflect and realise my own mistakes
That’s when we met. The right person will always find you at the right time.” she wrote on her Instagram post.
Many have turned to the concept of The Invisible String Theory to make sense of this serendipitous event.
