A 13-year-old girl allegedly jumped off the 6th floor of an apartment in an apparent case of suicide at Puchong Utama Selangor on Sunday (Jan 29).
According to a statement by Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan bin Wan Mamat, police received a call from the public about the incident around 11.21pm.
Scolded by mother
Wan Azlan added that the victim was said to have plunged to her death after she was reprimanded by her mother for using her phone without permission and going out often at night.
We also found several handwritten notes believed to be the victim’s, where she expressed her desire to end her life due to pressures caused by the family’s treatment of her,” he said.
He also said that preliminary investigations found that the victim fell from the kitchen window and died at the scene.
The case has been classified as sudden death and the autopsy will be performed at the Serdang Hospital.
