“He made me stunned”

She then disclosed that he abruptly asked her, “Are you trying to take away the earnings of other rice sellers?”

He continued scolding her, questioning how other vendors would survive if she sold the meal at a cheaper price.

“You need to raise the price to 4.50 and align with the ‘Rahmah’ menu,” he advised sternly.

Not wanting the conversation to escalate, she humbly offered a packet of food for free to the man, suggesting he give it a try.

“If it’s good, you can come back to buy later,” she said, not bothering much about the disagreement.

This tweet has garnered over 948k as of the time of writing with many netizens sharing their thoughts about this.

Netizens poured their thoughts

In the comment section, a curious netizen asked him how she could afford to set the price so low, while also acknowledging the question raised by the man earlier.

In response to the question, she explained that she operates only in the evening and emphasized that her stall’s location does not interfere with other vendors, especially those selling lunch, as there are no neighboring stalls around.

“I’ve been running this budget rice business since 2020. The prices have remained the same, with no increases. If we can purchase ingredients affordably, it’s only fair to sell them at a reasonable price. There’s still profit, not looking to incur losses,” she continued, inviting the netizen to give her meal a try.

Another netizen, who appears to be one of her customers, commented that her meals are delicious and highly recommended the stall to others.

“My aunt buys from here every day; it’s insanely delicious. The shrimp sambal, especially is my favorite. Sister, may you be blessed with abundance. Ignore the words of that person. Highly recommended! Section 7, in front of KD mosque.”
