Recently, a few videos have been circulating online showing a food vendor suddenly being attacked by a customer with a knife.
Posted by a user on the “古灵精怪分享区” Facebook page, the video shows the food vendor talking briefly to the suspect before moving to the opposite side.
Then, the suspect followed the vendor from behind, attacking him with a knife before swiftly fleeing.
According to the caption posted under the video, it is understood that the person who stabbed the food vendor did so after the owner simply asked what he wanted.
Also, in the post, the OP urged everyone, if they happen to spot this individual to report to the police to prevent any potential harm to innocent individuals.
The police are looking for the suspect
According to Ipoh District Police, they confirmed that this incident happened yesterday (2 Dec) around 6am at a restaurant in Taman Cemerlang Rapat, Ipoh, Perak.
In the statement, Ipoh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said the victim sustained abdominal injuries after being stabbed by an unidentified male customer.
“Fortunately, after emergency surgery at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB), his condition stabilized.” Yahaya stated.
This case is now being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code and the authorities are still looking for the suspect.
The Ipoh District Police are appealing to the public for information to assist in their investigation, urging witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact the Ipoh District Control Room (DCC) at 05-254 2222, in an effort to apprehend the suspect and ensure public safety.
