M’sian Father Confronts Teachers Who Caught His 17yo Son Allegedly Smoking Weed At School

No, it's not normal.
Smoking has always been known to be harmful to one’s health, but the father of a 17-year-old student claimed that it was “normal” for him.

In this shocking incident that took place at a secondary school in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the Form 5 student, who was previously expelled for repeatedly violating school rules, was allowed to return to take his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exam.

I’ve tolerated you for a long time. You can target my son, but we can’t talk about it outside?

The incident was also caught on camera and subsequently posted on Facebook.

A source claimed to WOB that the student was caught smoking weed, which is illegal in Malaysia. However, his father dismissed it and called it “a small matter”.

Kota Kinabalu district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaidi confirmed to China Press the arrest of the student’s father.

He added police are investigating the case under Section 506 of the Penal Code and an application for a remand order has been made to the Kota Kinabalu Magistrate’s Court.

Sabah Education Department director Datuk Raisin Saidin also confirmed to reporters that the teen was indeed smoking inside the toilet.

“The student had been expelled earlier, but the school allowed him to return for his exams, where he stirred up trouble again,” he said.
