Customer orders food just to scold the vendor

This incident, shared by @MALAYSIAVIRALLL on X platform, instantly captured the attention of netizens.

In the screenshot of the conversation they shared, a receipt of the customer’s order was shown, featuring a ‘special’ note.

In the note, the customer was seen leaving a harsh criticism for the restaurant, pointing out their failure to follow specific instructions.

“Hey, are you human or an animal????!?!?!? When a customer orders and requests to have the sauce separated, you separate it, it’s not that hard! When a customer requests a specific part, you give it. If it’s unavailable, you call the customer and ask how to proceed instead of just acting stupid!?!?!?” vented the frustrated customer.

The food rider becomes the victim

The screenshots that followed showed a conversation between the delivery person and the customer, revealing that the customer canceled the order unexpectedly while the food was already on its way.

This left the delivery person stuck with a bag full of food, and it became even more challenging because the customer had chosen to pay in cash.

The customer ordered Nasi Ayam Penyet with Teh Ais (RM15.60), 2 sets of Nasi Lemak Sotong Sambal with Teh Ais (RM37.06) and 2 sets of Nasi Lemak Udang Sambal with Teh Ais (RM37.06).

The total bill amounted to RM90, hanging in the air as the customer refused to pay.

Also, the customer even asked for the rider’s account number, saying they would transfer the money.

Netizens shared their thoughts about this matter

Some netizens empathized, highlighting the unfortunate situation of both the rider and the vendor who have to endure harsh words from certain customers.

“Oh dear, it’s so unfortunate. Business owners are not making a huge profit, yet they have to endure being scolded by customers like this. Who wouldn’t feel sad? May the business owner be blessed with abundance in sustenance.”

Another user suggested that the rider should immediately cancel the customer’s order in case of complaints.

“For people who order like this, just cancel it. You won’t have a headache dealing with their requests, let them complain all they want if they don’t get it.”

One of the X users, believed to be a food rider, shared a similar experience.

“I’ve received such foolish instructions before. I still delivered it right to the doorstep, and it caused a scene with all the neighbors’ guards watching. The argument wasn’t with the restaurant but with the rider. In the end, they paid in cash. Sometimes, they try to mess with the restaurant, but it’s the rider who becomes the victim.”

On the other hand, a user who is also a rider explains that riders cannot simply cancel the order, instead, they can only cancel the trip.

“To all customer, I want to emphasize once again. As riders, we cannot cancel your order. What we can do is cancel the trip. This means that if the food is assigned to Rider A, and Rider A refuses to deliver, he cancels, and then it gets assigned to Rider B. The order remains, only the rider changes.”
