You’d expect most, if not all, eateries to uphold a certain standard of cleanliness but unfortunately that isn’t the case at times.
An eatery in Cheras recently came into the limelight after a netizen exposed its unhygienic practices in a tweet which has gone viral.
Drink served in dirty flower pot
According to a tweet by @MALAYSIAVIRALLL posted yesterday, it featured several photos of a soiled flower pot being used as a beverage container.
As one could see, the edges and insides of the flower pot was filled with blackish gunk and residue.
The netizen wrote: “Not only was the pot dirty, it smelled as bad as a rubbish bin too!”
According to the tweet, the eatery’s name was Restoran 3 Lautan in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras next to Star Grocer.
Used to be clean, now run-down
The unsightly presentation has since sparked a fiery debate in the comment section, where netizens were disgusted by the eatery’s lack of cleanliness.
One of them shared his own experience of being served a drink in a dirty container at the same eatery as well, quipping, “I just kena recently. Not sure whether it was taken straight from the trash bin.”
Another netizen commented that the eatery used to be clean and well-kept but had recently become more run down and paid little attention to its cleanliness.
