Anyone who spends time on the road knows that drivers and motorcyclists come in all kinds. With dashcams now installed in many vehicles, questionable driving behaviour is increasingly being caught on camera and shared widely on social media.
Recently, a dashcam video that went viral showed what many netizens described as an inconsiderate act by a four-wheel-drive (4×4) vehicle driver who allegedly stopped and parked his pickup truck in the middle of a busy road, causing an obstruction to other motorists.
Suddenly stop in the middle of the road
The video, shared on Threads by user @jmosho_, was said to have taken place in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur.
In the footage, the male driver can be seen switching on his hazard lights before coming to a complete stop in the middle of the road.

Despite vehicles behind him honking, he appeared to ignore them, effectively blocking the lane and disrupting traffic flow.
Allegedly stopped to buy fried bananas
The pickup truck, believed to be an Isuzu D-Max, was then seen parked as the driver calmly exited the vehicle and walked towards a food truck by the roadside.
According to the caption accompanying the video, the driver was believed to have stopped in the middle of the road simply to make a purchase from the roadside stall, which was said to be selling fried bananas.

So in Bangsar South, this man suddenly turned on his hazard lights in heavy traffic just to buy fried bananas,” the caption read.
Netizens slam ‘selfish’ behaviour
The video quickly drew backlash online, with many social media users criticising the driver for stopping in the middle of a congested road without regard for other motorists.
Several commenters described the act as selfish and lacking basic consideration for road safety and traffic rules. Some also called on the authorities, particularly the Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan, to take action against the driver for the alleged offence.
