“Why does removing sugar from a drink cost RM3? Can someone explain this?” the frustrated OP shared in his post.

However, the OP didn’t disclose the name or location of the restaurant.

Netizens question sugar removal charges

In the comments, some netizens understand the extra charges for removing ice, but they also questioned the restaurant’s charges for sugar removal.

“Removing ice I can understand, But adding money for removing sugar is confusing. Damn it, do they put a whole packet of sugar in one cup?”

“Removing ice makes the juice more, that’s okay so far. But why does it cost 3 dollars to remove sugar? I have no idea why it has to be like this. Can I ask for an explanation?”
