M’sian Delivery Rider Saves Cat From Reversing Car, Driver Rewards Him With RM110 For Good Deed

Being a delivery rider is usually seen to be a tiring and thankless job as not only do they have to fulfill orders both rain and shine, but they also have to deal with customers who don’t express gratitude for what they do.

For one rider however, his good deed did not go unnoticed and was duly rewarded for it, something which caught him off guard.

Taking to his TikTok account to share the heartwarming incident, the delivery rider named Shahrul said he was waiting for an order to come in when he noticed a cat lying behind a Proton X70 car which was about to reverse.

Not wanting the creature to get potentially injured, he quickly got off his motorcycle and chased the cat away so that it wouldn’t get crushed by the car’s tyres.

After chasing the cat away, Shahrul said the X70 then reversed and stopped in front of him for a very long time, leaving him to assume that the driver was waiting for someone.

To his surprise, the driver got out of the car and handed him some cash, telling him that he wanted to share some rezeki (blessing of sustenance) with him.

“I initially thought it was RM60 only, but when I unwrapped the money, I realised that it was RM110 in total. Alhamdulilah and thank you to the kind person,” he wrote.

The clip has since garnered close to 500,000 views at the time of writing and Shahrul was praised by netizens for coming to the cat’s aid.

They also said that he was rewarded financially by God as he had performed a deed which was deserving of a reward.

A netizen also suggested that Shahrul share the money with the cat he saved as it was the reason for the RM110 he had received from the driver.
