It’s not easy to say goodbye, but one Malaysian father made sure to send his daughter off with a heart full of love and her favourite sambal prawn nasi lemak before she departed for a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon.

The emotional moment unfolded as part of the send-off for the MALBATT 850-12 contingent, which left for the Lebanon peacekeeping mission.
Captured in a short TikTok video, the father’s loving gesture melted hearts across Malaysia.
Seated beside her father, the soldier, dressed in her uniform, was spoon-fed a mouthful of her favourite dish — sambal prawn nasi lemak — as her mother looked on with quiet pride and emotion.
The tender act left the soldier visibly emotional, wiping away her tears as she prepared for her departure.
Her elder sister, who shared the video, revealed, “Sambal prawns are her favourite, and this was my dad’s way of showing his love before she left.”
