If you’re a credit card user, you’d probably attest to the fact that it provides much convenience especially during transactions that requires huge sums of money.
However, credit cards often cause one to overspend and rack up mounting debts very quickly, which then leads one to their wit’s end.
Couple begs public’s help to pay off RM2,700 credit card debt
In a Twitter post dated Feb 28, a user named @kaytieyou posted a screenshot of a credit card debt she and her partner had racked up, which came up to RM2,781.26.
Along with the post, she also had a seemingly outrageous request to those who came across the tweet.
Hi netizens. I’m sincerely asking for financial help for me and my boyfriend over our credit card debt as our business encountered a few problems, forcing us to use our credit cards for daily expenses for a few months.
“Whoever that’s willing to help us is greatly appreciated. DM us for more details,” she wrote.

Netizens: ‘Go get a job!’
Naturally, @kaytieyou’s request for financial assistance didn’t sit well with netizens, who called her and her boyfriend out for their ridiculous demand and told them to get a job.
“In front of RHB Bank in Muar, there’s a vacancy. If I’m not mistaken, you can earn RM80 a day. Try there lah.”
One netizen jokingly told @kaytieyou to dump her boyfriend and find a sugar daddy to pay off her credit card debt instead.
Another sarcastically asked @kaytieyou whether she could pay off his car loan.
