A police officer was killed in a horrific accident after a 26-year-old who was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol crashed into him.
Photos of the crash’s aftermath was shared by China Press and Sin Chew Daily, where it showed both the car and motorcycle being reduced to a twisted heap of metal.

In a statement by Seremban district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din, he said initial investigations showed the 23-year-old constable, who was on duty at the time, was travelling from Seremban to Temiang on a Honda EX5 motorcycle.

Along the way, he was hit by a Perodua Bezza driven by a 26-year-old man from the opposite direction who lost control and veered into his lane at around 1.01am.
The police officer was rushed to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital for treatment after suffering severe head injuries but died an hour later.
Remanded for 6 days
As for the Bezza driver, he sustained minor injuries and was believed to have been drunk at the time of the incident.

He was remanded for six days starting today to assist in investigations under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which carries jail time and a fine upon conviction.
Hatta told members of the public who had further information to contact investigating officer Inspector Mohd Shahrizan Khairi at 019-8461792 or the nearest police station.
