If you’re a true blooded Malaysian, one thing you’d know for sure is the lack of cleanliness and maintenance in the school toilet.
However, one local contractor is looking to change all that after he spent RM70,000 to transform a school toilet into one that we all probably won’t mind spend hours inside!
M’sian contractor spends RM70k on building school toilet
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Fendy said he had been appointed by State Education Department (PPD) in the Hulu Perak district to assist in the upgrading of SK Adika Raja’s toilet.
Interestingly, his own children, who are aged 9 and 12 respectively, are students of the school whose toilet he was tasked to renovate.
My main priority was to provide a clean and comfortable environment for the students. I wanted it to look like a hotel toilet, and now it does,” he said.
When asked how he managed to create such an impressive toilet that appeared to cost more than it appeared, this is what Fendy had to say:
I made the estimation and the cost remained relevant even though the profit isn’t directly related to the work done. But it’s still not at a loss and I don’t need to allocate additional budget from my own pocket.
“Furthermore, I managed to save a lot of money thanks to the fact that my wife’s an interior designer who handled the designs without making them too costly,” he added.
Netizens amazed by makeover
The clip has since garnered more than 780,000 views at the time of writing and netizens couldn’t hold back their admiration for Fendy’s work.
‘Out of all the videos about RM70k toilets, this one is the prettiest.’
‘Can skip class and chill in the toilet. There are even chairs to sit on too.’
