A police officer attached to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Selangor police contingent headquarters has died following a fatal fall.
According to a report by Malay Mail, the officer allegedly fell from a building located in Section 14 in Shah Alam early this morning (May 20).
The tragedy was later confirmed by Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar.
“The Shah Alam district police headquarters control centre received information on the incident at about 3.07am this morning.
“The victim was confirmed dead at the scene, and the case has been classified as sudden death pending post-mortem results,” he said.
Shazeli added the Selangor police extends its condolences to the victim’s family for their loss and called upon the public not to speculate on the matter lest it disrupt ongoing investigations.
