Whenever one pays for a certain form of service, it’s usually expected that the service rendered is up to par with the payment made.
A Malaysian man working in Singapore found himself thrown into jail after he assaulted a sex worker as he felt that the service she gave ‘wasn’t worth’ what he paid her.
Paid to have sex with sex worker
According to CNA, Goh Jun Liang, a Malaysian working as a packer in a pharmaceutical company, came across the victim’s profile while scrolling through a website offering sexual services on April 16.
After seeing that she offered the service for S$130 (RM445.85) per act, he contacted her and arranged to meet at her home.
At 8pm that night, Goh handed RM445.85 to the victim and had intercourse with her before cleaning himself.
After that, he requested for a second round and gave another RM445.85 to the victim. This time however, he was unable to perform the act and was assisted by the victim, which displeased him as he felt she was exerting too much strength and made it painful for him.
He was also annoyed that the victim kept saying that he was “troublesome” for taking such a long time to perform the act.

In a moment of ‘buyer’s remorse’, Goh felt that what he paid the victim “wasn’t worth it” and decided to forcefully demand the money back from her.
Picking up a metal bottle that he found on the table, he struck the victim on her back and neck when she turned her back to him and told her to return his money.
While the victim agreed to return the full amount, Goh continued to attack her until she handed the cash over.
Jailed for 6 weeks
After Goh left the premises, the victim contacted a friend and lodged a police report. She also sustained swelling on her shoulder and pain on her head hours after the attack occurred. However, she refused to seek further medical attention.
On Tuesday (Aug 22), Goh was brought to court and pleaded guilty to one count of causing voluntary hurt, resulting in him being jailed for six weeks.
