Lucky draws are especially an exciting event for participants as it gives them the chance to win lucrative prizes such as a car, cash, or a fully-paid vacation.
An auxiliary police officer could hardly believe his luck after he was named the grand prize winner of a lucky draw event and found himself being the proud owner of a brand new BMW.

According to Harian Metro, the auxiliary cop was 32-year-old Mohamad Helmi Mohammad, who took part in a lucky draw held during the opening ceremony of Glam Bazar Ramadan Klebang 2024 in Melaka last Sunday (Apr 7).
He was given a replica key of the luxury car by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
Helmi, who hails from Kelantan and works in Petronas, said this was his first time winning such an expensive prize from a lucky draw as he had never taken part in one before.
I am very grateful for the win. My wife filled out the lucky draw coupon she received after spending about RM700 at the bazaar. I never expected to be the grand prize winner.
“For now, I’m not sure whether I’ll use the car or sell it,” he said.
According to BMW Malaysia’s website, its 320i model is priced at RM 243,883.65 as of 2021.
As for the second prize, it was a Perodua Axia which was won by a contestant named Norshaidatul Akma Borhan.
She told the Malay daily that she went to the bazaar with her father and filled out the lucky draw coupon after spending RM400 and said she will be using the car for her daily routine.
Berita Harian reported that the mega Ramadan bazaar was organised in conjunction with the Tahun Melawat Melaka 2024 (TMM2024) campaign, where Melaka had seen a total of 3.3 million tourists visiting the state as of last month.
Throughout the TMM2024 campaign, a myriad of prizes are up for grabs including 10 cars, 28 motorcycles, and a boat.
Those who wish to participate must purchase official TMM2024 souvenirs or stay at hotels in Melaka as a way to support the initiative.
