A mother who took her child out for breakfast at a mall in Klang was stunned when she saw her bill: one cup of hot Milo cost a whopping RM8.40. She called it the most expensive Milo she’s ever had!
The mum shared her experience on Xiaohongshu, saying she didn’t check the prices when ordering.
Only after receiving the bill did she realize that her Milo was more expensive than her main meal. She exclaimed, “The drink is actually pricier than the food!”
According to the receipt she posted, she had ordered three plates of Siamese fried noodles and one hot Milo.
The noodles cost a total of RM17.70, while the Milo alone was RM8.40, bringing the total to RM26.10.
One commenter pointed out that the restaurant’s food prices seemed reasonable, but drinks were unusually expensive.
Others teased the mum for expecting mamak stall prices at a restaurant, but she clarified that while she didn’t expect it to be as cheap as at a mamak, she also didn’t expect it to cost more than at McDonald’s!
