Mobile phone is a possible cause

According to Bulletin TV3, preliminary forensic investigations by the Perlis Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) suggest the fire originated from the left front passenger seat, possibly caused by a mobile phone reacting with petrol vapours.

Samples of a mobile phone charger and cigarettes were collected from the scene.

The fire was deemed accidental, with no criminal elements involved. The victim was taken to Tuanku Fauziah Hospital for further treatment.
