The free dry noodle is not just any ordinary noodle, it comes with sliced barbecued pork, crispy fried shallots, minced pork, and spring onions, all in sufficient portions.

“Just come if you are in need”

The owner has put up a banner in both Mandarin and Malay in front of his stall to let people know that they can come and have a free bowl of noodles if they are in need.

He has also posted a notice on his stall that reads, “If you are in need or facing difficulties, you can come to my stall and have a bowl of noodles for free. Don’t be shy, and remember to help those in need when you are able to do so.”

The generous boss of a noodle stall has come up with a special code for people in need to get a free meal.

If anyone’s going through a tough time, all they need to do is visit the stall and say the code “Mau 1 Mee Jumpa Lagi”.

The boss will then happily serve you a bowl of noodles without charging you a single cent.

His act of kindness has garnered attention on social media, with many praising his generosity.

Since the “free noodle” banner was hung outside the tea house, the owner has given out more than ten bowls of noodles every day to people who are facing difficulties and are not comfortable with their current financial situation, according to Sin Chew Daily.

When asked why he is willing to do this, the boss explained that he was inspired by a regular customer with mental disability who would sometimes come to his stall and not pay for the noodles because he thought the customer might be struggling financially.

This customer would sometimes come and eat without paying, and sometimes he would pay RM2 if he had the money.

As a food and beverage business owner, offering free meals to customers is a risky move. However, the Miri boss said that he is willing to continue to provide “free noodles” to those in need as long as he has the ability to do so.

He is grateful for the support of his friends and regular customers, and the “free noodles” are available for dine-in or takeaway, as long as the person in need speaks up.

In fact, the price of a bowl of dry noodles at his stall was RM4 before the cost increase forced him to adjust it to RM4.50 two weeks ago.

He believes that it’s important to give back to society and hopes that his actions will inspire others to do the same.
