A Singapore-registered Mercedes recently earned the ire of Malaysians after the driver was caught on tape refusing to make way for an ambulance in Johor Bahru, resulting in a collision.
Mercedes refuses to give way
In a 34-second clip posted to the Facebook group 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians, it begins with the black Mercedes cruising along the middle lane of a road.
As the driver gradually picked up speed, a Kempas Medical Centre ambulance then appears from the left side with its signal light turned on, telling the former its intention to cut into the lane.
However, the Mercedes driver remained stubborn and refused to give way for the ambulance, resulting in a minor collision.
After several seconds, the Mercedes driver eventually yielded and allowed the ambulance to enter its lane.

Unsurprisingly, netizens weren’t too pleased by the Mercedes driver’s lack of etiquette and slammed him in the comment section.
“Has stressful living on the island cause them to become like animals?”
“Fine the SG driver RM100,000!”
“This is what you call rude foreigners. Expensive car but they act stupid.”
