A foreign man in Sabah was accused of raping his 11-year-old sister-in-law at an unnumbered house last year in May.
The suspect, who possessed no identification documents, pleaded guilty to the charge before Judge Ahmad Faizadh Yahaya at the Tawau Sessions Court yesterday (July 1), reported Harian Metro.
What happened
According to the charge sheet, the suspect allegedly raped the victim while she was asleep at his home in Semporna on May 2 at around 2am.

The charge sheet also stated that the victim woke up after realising someone was lying on top of her before the rape.
Prior to the incident, the victim had been living with her mother in Kunak before being brought to Semporna to stay with her elder sister, who was pregnant with the suspect’s third child.
No bail was offered by the prosecution and the court fixed Aug 3 for case mention pending the victim’s medical report and DNA analysis report.

The court was also told that the accused is currently serving a five-month prison sentence under the Immigration Act for entering Malaysia illegally.
