According to a source, the suspect told police that he was “testing out” the fireworks at the request of a customer and that the video was recorded by the customer himself.

Urine tests found the suspect, who works as a lorry driver, negative for drugs.

The case is now being investigated under Section 6 of the Explosives Act 1957 for using any explosives that may endanger life or damage property or injure people, as well as Section 3(5) of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for playing with and letting off fireworks.

If you wish to set off fireworks, please do so in a safe and responsible manner!
