Definitely not a hug of love.
Theft can often occur in multiple ways, whether at knifepoint or through an innocent act such as a hug.

A Singaporean man had his S$1,100 (RM3,667.41) gold necklace stolen from him in Bangkok, Thailand after he was hugged by a transwoman out of nowhere.

The Thaiger later reported that the 36-year-old suspect’s name was Kinkon, a Cambodian who had entered Thailand illegally.

Police investigation found that she didn’t have any personal documents or illegal items on her.

Kinkon was charged with theft and faces a jail term of five years and a 100,000 baht (RM12,860.80) fine if convicted.

Always be careful of strangers and don’t hug anyone you don’t know on the streets too!
