Although there has been no official statement from the movie’s distributor Walt Disney Company Malaysia, a unnamed source told Star Lifestyle that Lightyear will not be seeing the light of day anytime soon, reported The Star.

No statement was also issued by the Film Censorship Board of Malaysia as to whether it constitutes as an official ban.

The same-couple kissing scene has been a source of controversy for Lightyear where back in March, Pixar actually deleted the scene but restored it after massive backlash from its employees.
