Malaysia’s mostly known for its pool of badminton talents who have done the nation proud with multiple accolades and achievements.
Lee Zii Jia, one of the country’s top shuttlers and World No.4 has recently made history for not just himself but Malaysia too after he was featured on the famed billboard in New York City’s Times Square.

The Kedah-born athlete’s face was displayed on the billboard in the heart of New York City among the streets of the bustling metropolis today.
Other badminton athletes who were featured on the billboard as well included Anders Antonse, Tai Tzu Ying, Hendra Setiawan-Mohammad Ahsan, and Apriyani Rahayu-Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.
This special appearance was to celebrate the 55th anniversary of sports clothing and equipment brand Victor as well as promote badminton to other parts of the world.

Victor was founded in Taipei, Taiwan in 1968 and has been a pioneer in the badminton industry thanks to its reputation as one of the world’s best badminton equipment and clothing manufacturer.
It is also the sponsor of Zii Jia, who formally collaborated with them at the start of 2022 when he became an independent player.
However, the national shuttler is currently facing legal woes after his former coach Indra Wijaya filed a lawsuit against him for breach on contract, which have adversely affected his performance.
