PETALING JAYA – For most less well-to-do students and working adults, renting a room or an entire house is usually the next best option in finding a roof over our heads.
As for landlords, renting their home out to complete strangers requires a lot of trust too, where they have to believe that tenants will take care of the premises well.
Unfortunately, one landlord had a nightmare of her lifetime and documented the absolute destruction of her home in a viral Facebook post.
Next level of filthiness
In the post, the landlord shared how her beautiful home was turned into a dumpsite in just ten months.
“As soon as I opened the door, I was hit with an overpowering stench and was shocked to see the wretched state of my home,” she wrote.
The landlord also attached several photos which were enough to make one’s stomach churn.
I don’t even dare to take photos of the toilet. I feel like vomiting when I look at it.”
According to the landlord, the tenants, who were both females, were allowed to use the washing machine, iron, fridge, and kitchen although they only paid rent for the rooms.
She then shared a photo of the broken washing machine and wondered how they managed to leave two gaping holes on it. Are they She-Hulks in disguise?
“Is this a place for humans?!”
The post, which has gathered more than 2,000 reactions and 6,000 shares, saw many netizens expressing their shock over the incident, with one even writing, “Is this even a place for humans to stay?”
