Enforcement officers at KLIA Terminal 2 have arrested an illegal taxi driver, commonly known as an “ulat”, during a monitoring operation at the airport.
According to JPJ Selangor, the KLIA Enforcement Station detained a Perodua Alza along with its driver for further investigation after the individual was suspected of offering unlicensed car rental services.
Passenger offered RM80 ride between terminals
Initial investigations found that the driver had approached and persuaded an Indonesian passenger to use his transport service.

The suspect reportedly offered to take the passenger from KLIA Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 with a fare of RM80, which would be paid upon reaching the destination.
Facing fines or jail if convicted
Authorities said those found guilty may face action under Section 205(1) of the Land Public Transport Act 2010 (APAD 2010).

If convicted, offenders may face a fine of up to RM50,000, imprisonment of up to five years, or both.
Individuals who assist or are involved in such illegal activities may also be charged under Section 243(1) of the same act.
Public urged to use legal transport services
Members of the public are advised to only use authorised transport services available at official counters in KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 or book rides through e-hailing applications,” JPJ Selangor wrote.
Complaints related to traffic offences can be submitted via aduantrafik@jpj.gov.my or through the e-aduan@JPJ application, together with the complainant’s and incident details.
