A personal driver in his 60s could hardly believe his luck after he discovered that he was the winner Supreme Toto 6/58 jackpot drawn on Aug 29.
The man, who hails from KL, had been betting on the same set of numbers for the past 10 years and bought the winning ticket in Negri Sembilan while visiting his daughter over the weekend.
Inspiration behind numbers
According to NST, the numbers – 3, 5, 6, 10, 20 and 42 – all had a special meaning to it, with three for his children and six for his grandchildren.
’10’ and ’20’ represented his wedding date, Oct 20, while 42 referred to the number of years he has been married.
After his sixth grandchild was born, the man changed one number from five to six.
Future plans
The man got to know of the win while he was having dinner with his family, where he suddenly stopped eating and asked his daughter to check the results for him.
When she did so, he was shocked to hear that he had won RM23,945,954.40.
The man’s daughter added that her father had constantly promised to settle outstanding debts and loans for every family member if he ever won the jackpot.
Now that his win has come to pass, the man said he intends to fulfil that promise and save the rest for retirement.
