Kind M’sian Helps OKU Teen Who Was Robbed At TBS After Reaching KL To Find A Job

We all need that one person who doesn’t walk away.
For those born with less, survival itself is a journey.

And for this OKU teen, the journey from his kampung to the capital wasn’t about chasing luxury, it was about staying alive in a system that often forgets the most vulnerable.

He came to Kuala Lumpur with hope and courage, believing the city of opportunities could give him a fresh start. But what awaited him at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) was not a job, it was heartbreak.

The heartbreaking story was shared by TikTok user @ezzuchang, who stumbled upon the young boy sitting alone at the terminal; weak, barefoot, and visibly lost.

“I was at TBS, and a man told me he could offer me a job,” the teen recounted.

“So I followed him, but suddenly he took my helmet, bag, and wallet before running away.”

His voice trembled as he spoke. Not only did he lose everything he brought from home, but he was also injured, with a small wound on his head, believed to be from being beaten during the encounter.

“I don’t have parents anymore”

Moved by the boy’s condition, Ezzuchang immediately bought him food and drinks. He noticed the teen devoured his meal quickly, as if he hadn’t eaten in days.

As they talked, the young boy revealed that he was an orphan and carried an OKU card due to learning difficulties.

I don’t have parents anymore. I asked for food, but no one wanted to give me any. I’m embarrassed to be like this,” he said, holding back tears.

The honesty in his words broke hearts online. Many Malaysians commented that it could’ve easily been their own younger sibling or relative, someone too trusting, too hopeful, and too alone in a big city.

A simple act of kindness that changed everything

Refusing to let the teen wander off without help, Ezzuchang called a taxi and handed him some cash so he could return home or travel somewhere safe.

Touched by the kindness, the teen bent down and tried to touch Ezzuchang’s feet; a gesture of deep respect in Indian culture. But Ezzuchang gently stopped him.

“Don’t, brother. I’m helping you sincerely,” he said, before the two hugged, grateful for the brief but powerful moment of humanity shared between strangers.
