Strays, like any kind of animals, deserve to be treated kindly and not be abused by humans as they require the same amount of love and care whenever they’re in need.
A woman has recently touched the hearts of netizens after she was seen going beyond societal and religious taboos by feeding a stray dog.
Kind makcik seen feeding stray dog
In the 34-second clip shared to the Facebook page 大马资讯台 yesterday (Feb 28), it showed the makcik approaching a stray dog that was heavily pregnant with some food in her hand.
While it was apparent that the stray dog was starving, it appeared to be apprehensive of the makcik and retreated a few steps backwards.
However, the makcik refused to give up and persisted in trying to coax the stray dog into accepting the food from her hand.
After successfully capturing the dog’s attention with a bottle containing food, she then walked over the side of the road, where the dog could be seen trotting after her from behind.
According to the caption, the makcik fed the dog after closing her stall and led it to the roadside so that it could eat at a safe place.
Praised for her kindness
The heartwarming clip has since gone viral, where it amassed over 74,000 views and 3,500 reactions at the time of writing.
Many were touched by the makcik’s efforts to ensure that the stray dog didn’t go hungry and commended her for it.
