A man in Kepong was bludgeoned to death with a plastic chair after he requested a friend who had owed him RM250 to return the money.
Beaten to death with plastic chair
According to a statement by KL police, the altercation occurred in front of a restaurant in Jalan Prima 2, Metro Prima, Kepong on Friday (Jan 27).
When the victim asked the suspect to pay back the RM250 which he had owed, the suspect took a plastic chair and began hitting him with it.
In order to protect himself, the victim took a cable rod and tried to fend his friend off.
Although several RELA officers managed to break up the fight, the victim unfortunately collapsed and died less than 100m away from the scene.
Suspect arrested
The 63-year-old suspect was later nabbed after he went to the police station to file a report concerning the fight on the same day.
The plastic chair and cable rod used in the fight were also confiscated as well.
While the suspect didn’t have any criminal record, he was remanded yesterday (Jan 28) for further investigation.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
