This Ramadan, Kara spent a meaningful day at Rumah Titian Kaseh, coming together with 50 orphaned children and 10 single mothers over shared food, shared time and simple acts of care.

What started with the cooking and distribution of bubur lambuk soon grew into something more heartfelt. From gathering around the kitchen to sharing meals at the table, the day slowly unfolded into moments of laughter, connection and quiet joy.
As evening approached, the home came alive with performances, celebrations and smiles that lingered long after the food was served.
More than just a community initiative, the gathering served as a gentle reminder of what Ramadan truly represents. It is about presence, about showing up for one another, and about sharing what we have in ways that leave lasting memories.
Ingat Santan, Ingat Kara

For many Malaysians, when it comes to santan, one familiar phrase comes to mind: Ingat Santan, Ingat Kara.
“Since 1999, Kara has been part of Malaysian families, accompanying them through the flavours and moments that shape our culinary heritage,” said Mr Susanto, Director of Kara Marketing Malaysia.
“For us, RASA is more than taste. It is a feeling of familiarity and trust that has been passed down through generations.
“This Ramadan, as we continue our Kara Satukan Rasa journey, our commitment remains the same: to stay close to Malaysian homes and be part of the moments that truly matter.”
Throughout the day, the kitchen became the heart of the celebration as volunteers and guests worked side by side preparing bubur lambuk.
Meaningful and star-studded night

Adding to the excitement was the presence of Chef Ismail, whose hands-on involvement brought a special sense of tradition and authenticity to the cooking process.
For many of the children, it was a chance to see how a familiar Ramadan dish is prepared while sharing stories and laughter along the way.
As night fell, the celebrations continued with a simple opening ceremony, lively performances and the distribution of duit raya to the children and single mothers.

The evening was further enlivened by the presence of Iman Troye, Izzue Islam and Datin Alyah, who joined the celebration and spent time interacting with the community.
Iman Troye also performed Kara Satukan Rasa, Kara’s Raya song that captures relatable Ramadan and Raya moments, from preparing festive kuih to carrying that same familiar RASA into Hari Raya celebrations.
Kara Satukan Rasa

“Kara Satukan Rasa was created to reflect the many ways Malaysians experience the festive season,” said Shah Rizal, Brand Manager Kara.
“From preparing juadah during Ramadan, to celebrating Raya, and even the simple lepak moments in between, each phase carries its own RASA.
“Through this campaign, we wanted to celebrate how Kara naturally fits into these everyday moments, bringing a familiar comfort that connects different traditions, homes and generations into one shared celebration.”
Extra donation

Beyond the day’s activities, Kara also extended its support to Rumah Titian Kaseh with a RM3,000 donation along with a three-month supply of Kara Coconut Cream to help support the home’s daily cooking needs.
Kara also extended its support to the children of Rumah Titian Kaseh through the contribution of school stationery, aimed at helping ease their educational needs and encouraging them to pursue their studies with confidence. This initiative reflects Kara’s continued commitment to giving back to the community and supporting the well-being and future of underprivileged children.
UtusanTV also contributed RM2,000 in cash to assist with Raya preparations, while Akasa supported the home’s kitchen through the donation of thoughtfully selected cooking ingredients, guided by its belief in Ramuan Asli, Pilihan Hati.
Adding small moments of joy throughout the day, Dua Kelinci shared its popular snacks, Deka and TicTac, which the children happily enjoyed together.
Through these simple yet meaningful gestures, Kara Satukan Rasa came to life not through grand gestures, but through sincerity, dignity and genuine human connection.
Rewang Welcoming Ramadan programme

Kara Malaysia expressed its deepest appreciation to Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, Kebawah Duli Paduka Baginda Tengku Ampuan Pahang, for Her initiative in enlivening the arrival of Ramadan through the Rewang Welcoming Ramadan programme.
Kara was deeply honoured by Tuanku’s gracious choice to include Kara Coconut Cream as the main ingredient in the preparation of Bubur Lambuk Pahang across seven locations during the holy month.
The brand is sincerely grateful for the opportunity to be part of these meaningful efforts and hopes that this noble tradition continues to bring blessings and strengthen the spirit of togetherness within the community.
Rasa not only tasted

In these shared moments of togetherness, Kara remained close to the people and traditions that define Ramadan and Raya in Malaysia.
Because for Kara, RASA is not only something that is tasted. It is something that is felt through the moments we share, the meals we prepare and the memories we create together.
