Johor’s Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi became an unexpected first responder at the scene of a road accident.
The incident, which took place this afternoon along the North-South Expressway, involved a car and a motorcycle in a fender bender that left the motorcyclist injured on the tarmac.
The minister, along with his team, had just wrapped up the Johor Kluang Youth Tourism Program and was en route back to Johor Bahru when they chanced upon the accident near the 25-km mark.
Without hesitation, Datuk Onn Hafiz alighted from his vehicle to assist the fallen motorcyclist.
The executive council member in charge of Johor’s investment, trade, and consumer affairs, Lee Ting Han, took to Facebook to recount the event, revealing that the victim was swiftly transported to Kulai Hospital for treatment.
In a heartening social media post, Lee also shared his best wishes for the motorcyclist’s speedy recovery.
Many praised him for his quick response and compassionate action in aiding the injured motorcyclist.
